The Somersett Owners Association (SOA) published the meeting packet for the September 27th Board Meeting (i.e., on today September 26th – better late than never!). Packet is available for viewing on the SOA website (www.somersett.net). However, this Packet contained very little back up material for meeting agenda items (see previous post).
Material contained in the Board Packet consisted of the following:
Committee Recommendations:
- Communication Committee – Recommended replacing the current SOA IT Service Provider Erlach Computer Consulting with IQ Technology Solutions. Apparently Erlach has been doing a lousy job and are over priced.
- Facilities Committee – Recommended the purchase of four new red leather chairs for TCTC Foyer to replace the existing two tan chairs. Cost is $5432, which represents a significant vendor discount due to a previous order error.
- West Park Committee – Recommended upgrade of Park path surfaces from DG to Asphalt. Easier to maintain and will cost far less in the long term.
Financials – Included both June and July Financial Reports
Old Business – Verbal Reports (by staff) will be given on Rockery Wall Repairs, Pool Redesign and Fire Fuel issues. No backup material contained in the Board Packet
New Business – The Board Packet did not contain any backup material for six out of the seven new business items. Only the “P-Card Agreement and Authorization” item was addressed in the Packet, in which the acquisition of US Bank Purchase Cards for use by FirstService Residential staff (Tracy Carter – Community Manager, Bernadette Rodas – Assistant Community Manager and Callie Froese – Club Manager) was approved along with established parameters.
